Safely reopening Marin County from COVID-19

Construction

Current Status

Construction is allowed as permitted under the State Shelter In Place Order and only pursuant to the Construction Safety Protocols listed in Appendix B and incorporated into the May 15 (effective May 18) Order by this reference.  Public works projects shall also be subject to Appendix B, except if other protocols are specified by the Health Officer.

Reopening Guidelines

Each business much create, adopt and implement a Site Specific Protection Plan (SPP) prior to reopening. The SPP template combines state-level guidance published in the California State Resilience Roadmap and local Marin County public health policies.

Construction-related businesses / operations should follow the guidance below, in combination with the guidance above, to create a safer environment for workers.

Incorporate the appropriate industry specific guidelines from the state guidance linked above into the “Business Specific Best Practices” section of your SPP.  When complete, post the SPP in your workplace or at the construction site to show customers and employees that you've reduced the risk of COVID-19.
